Dr. Sandip Pandya graduated from the Kean University, NJ with highest honors in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. His passion for physical therapy and wellness led him to Temple University, PA where he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. During his doctoral of physical therapy journey Mr. Pandya worked on weekends and full time during summer breaks at the Temple University Hospital to receive practical exposure of theories learned in classroom, where he served as a rehabilitation technician and student extern. This allowed him exposure and enhanced learning of physical therapists role in wound care, burn care, heart transplant patients, lung transplant patients, acute care rehabilitation and bed side care.

He began his career working at an outpatient physical therapy clinic and as a home care physical therapist where he gained valuable clinical experience treating patients and managing patient care. He has wide area of experience in seeing patient from same day surgery to achieving their full physical potential.

Dr. Pandya is certified exercise expert of aging adults and is trained Tai Chi. He is trained in numerous evidence-based manual interventions, combined with his experience of yoga, tai chi, weigh training, joint replacement programs, injury prevention he applies his knowledge to create individualized treatment plans to address physiological impairments as well as biopsychosocial limitations.

When treating patients, Dr. Pandya implements biopsychosocial model. This unique model not only focuses on persons injury it identifies biological, social and psychological limitations including internal and external factors related to each category affecting patients outcomes or limiting overall wellbeing of patient in society at large. This range from a relatively low level of function a patient might experience post injury or surgery all the way through to the peak performance required to return to their prior or preferred level of function.

Dr. Pandya’s past experiences have afforded a strong ability to help patients understand their personal diagnoses while making them feel comfortable and optimistic throughout their rehabilitation journey to achieve their goals.

Dr. Pandya personally believes in rendering highest quality care with compassion, kindness and dedication.

Outside of work Dr. Pandya loves spending time with his family and enjoys being very physically active. His hobbies include spending a lot of time outdoors doing fun activities like mountain-biking, trail walking, rafting and yoga. What he likes most is being able to share his experiences with his family and friends. You might be surprised to learn that in addition to working as a physical therapist, Dr. Pandya volunteers at numerous complementary medical camps and community events.
